Who Are We?
We are Lubbock High School students—mostly juniors and seniors—passionate about education and service. We believe that every child deserves every opportunity to reach their full potential, and we want to help our local community reach that goal.
What We Do
Every Saturday, from 1-5 PM, we offer a free tutoring service at various libraries throughout Lubbock for students K-12. We can tutor math, reading, writing, coding, test preparation, and more. We can also offer advice to those unsure about future academic or career paths.
NOTE: DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE ARE ONLY OFFERING ONLINE TUTORING TO KEEP OUR TUTORS AND THEIR STUDENTS SAFE. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHEN WE WILL OPEN UP OUR LOCATIONS PHYSICALLY, SUBSCRIBE TO US TO RECEIVE UPDATES.
Where Are We?
Currently, we have two locations.
Godeke Library was where we began and is currently our most active branch. The head tutors there are Noura Shoukfeh and Kate Kim.
We’ve also expanded to TJ Patterson Library to reach out to others in the Lubbock community. Our head tutors there are Derek Zhou and Yash Mittal.
There are many locations we eventually plan on expanding into. With enough interest, we hope to one day be found in every public library in Lubbock. We also are working on expanding to schools—Wester Elementary School and Mackenzie Middle School are our top choices right now.
If you have any suggestions/requests of where we should head to next, feel free to let us know!
How to Reach us
How Can I Get Tutoring?
You can sign up here so we can ensure a tutor for everyone. It also lets us know what additional resources you/your child may require, which we will try our best to meet. Otherwise, you can go to the aforementioned tutoring locations when they become available.
How To Help
If you are looking for other ways to help, you can donate here. All monetary donations go towards educational resources for our students and website and marketing funding.
